challengers is by far the most interesting movie ive ever seen about a sport I don’t care about whatsoever. there’s a certain aura about this movie that lasts from the first frame to the last, and it’s intoxicating. tennis is by far the most erotic sport on this planet, and the movie knows it. by far some of the most erotic scenes ive seen in a while, held together by 3 admirably strong performances by the 3 leads. zendaya’s performance as tashi duncan is a career best for an actress who already has an insane portfolio, and has fully cemented her as an acting force to be reckoned with. the story is told like a game of tennis, bouncing backwards and forwards across decades during an actual game of tennis, which leads to by far one of greatest climaxes of the year as everything culminates together in spectacular fashion and in one good fucking game of tennis . biggest surprise of the year so far!
