I loved the concept and storyline of this. Such a simple premise that becomes increasingly tense and captivating as it unfolds. It’s easy to see why this is considered one of Hitchcock’s classics. The first tennis match especially stood out to me. The back-and-forth rhythm of the match while Bruno sits completely still, staring at Guy, is so eerie and unsettling. I just know Barbara would be a true crime fan in today’s day and age.

I loved the simplicity of this film so much. There’s no huge defining moment or dramatic turning point, but instead a collection of small, intimate conversations that slowly build into something so emotional and meaningful. Every interaction between the two leads feels valuable, not just to the story itself but also to the audience and their own experiences with love, connection and growing older. Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke are absolutely perfect here, and their chemistry feels so natural that it almost doesn’t feel like acting at times. I also loved the beautiful European scenery woven throughout the film. Everything about this felt warm, thoughtful, and deeply human. I loved this and the sudden urge this gave me to run away to Europe in hopes of meeting the loml on a train.

i love a strong female-led cast!!! The chemistry between them is so good and every single person brings something funny and memorable to the movie. Boots Riley, I did not know your game. This had just the right amount of weirdness for me ✨ make movies weird again!!!!! What I loved most was the creativity. Every scene and location feels so colorful, stylish, and unique in a way that makes the world feel fully alive. But underneath all the absurdity and comedy is a really sharp anti-capitalist message that ties everything together so well. The film stays grounded in the real environmental and physical harm caused by the fashion industry and the struggles factory workers face, which gave all the chaos and humor a lot of heart and purpose. I genuinely enjoyed this way more than I expected to. I love my Latina queen, Eiza Gonzalez and I, too, get lost looking into LaKeith Stanfield’s eyes.

This was really great! There is much to like here. I think Inde Navarette should be the next big star. Her versatility in this was incredible to see and she’s only going to get better. The story had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. However, it felt a bit predictable and repetitive at times. I also felt that there was plot holes that weren’t addressed that also didn’t sit right with me. I walked away thinking Bear was the most selfish, unlikable character ever and I still stand by that. “What’s so bad about being with me?” Get out of here 🙄 Nonetheless, it doesn’t take away that this was a well-made production with an outstanding lead. All credit to the director for bringing that level of a performance out of her, too. The way Inde was moving was soooo creepy. Crazy movie.
