Before Sunrise
I loved the simplicity of this film so much. There’s no huge defining moment or dramatic turning point, but instead a collection of small, intimate conversations that slowly build into something so emotional and meaningful. Every interaction between the two leads feels valuable, not just to the story itself but also to the audience and their own experiences with love, connection and growing older.
Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke are absolutely perfect here, and their chemistry feels so natural that it almost doesn’t feel like acting at times. I also loved the beautiful European scenery woven throughout the film. Everything about this felt warm, thoughtful, and deeply human. I loved this and the sudden urge this gave me to run away to Europe in hopes of meeting the loml on a train.
