Lost Highway

Today is my birthday and you already know I HAD to watch a David Lynch movie since he’s my absolute favorite director of all time. This is my first time rewatching Lost Highway and boy oh boy is it as confusing and confounding as the first time I saw it. The opening title credits are so fucking sick and the music is SUCH a vibe. I just couldn’t get enough of the immaculate soundtrack and score. This is easily one of the most Lynchian movies out there and is super duper crazy. I don’t even know how to describe my love for this film, there are SOOOO many things I adore about it. The acting is great and spooky, the storyline is mindfuckery at its pinnacle, the direction is outstanding, there are some hilarious lines, and the sequences of absolute madness near the end are some of my favorite scenes ever put to film. Mystery Man is such a chilling character and I love how as the movie goes on, you become more and more bewildered. Lynch throws in hints left and right, but at the same time he adds more and more mystery and nuance to an already confusing story. It’s an overwhelmingly beautifully haunting masterpiece that I will FOREVER cherish. If you have not seen this, WATCH IT ASAP!!!!!!
