Alien

Visually one of the most outstanding films ive ever seen in the scifi genre, truly iconic. I enjoyed the attention to every crew member and their unique qualities; It made every interaction intriguing and genuine. Additionally, it serves the ending as you see Ripley rise to the occasion and become the hero as she grapples to save the morality and sanity of her crew in their dire situation. I think the plot was great, however, there are some obvious holes that were not addressed. At the end of the day though, I think it works in the movie's favor as the absurdity of the situation adds to the overall horror aspect of the film. Adding even more surrealism and hopelessness to the viewer as they're led to expect the worst about the world overall. 5 STARS: I truly felt this was the magnum opus of sci fi horror while watching it on its rerelease 45 YEARS LATER !
