Sinners

Me and my girlfriend would never forgive myself for not watching this in the cinemas. I hope this gets to be re-released in theaters soon, because it's that damn good.  the concept equals it's execution and it's superb. everything is working in this film. biggest part for me is the music, the score, and the songs are chef kisses. the performances, Sammie is so good, Michael B Jordan made this look so easy. Everyone in the film has moments that made the last half felt like a ensemble.  in it's heart, a film that effectively showed it's themes and pushed it in places that it shines. That "scene" that people are praising about, is a masterpiece of a scene, a scene that not only encapsulated what this film is saying but also a scene that pushes the boundaries of how this modern filmmaking can be.  in my mind this is a musical, but that's another thought for another time. I will be nonstop with this film for weeks, so brace for it.
