The Invite
I feel like I can completely appreciate how clever this was, and found it fairly funny at points, but just came out the cinema a bit underwhelmed, maybe just not my vibe. The tension and performances were brilliant, but I just wasn’t that interested in the characters, and it got a little tedious towards the end. Maybe not helped by the play feel, one set, heavy dialogue, just didn't connect with it personally. What I did find immensely funny was the gradual increase in frantic whispering from two old ladies sat in front of me, who eventually walked out never to return during the pegging conversation. Hope they’re recovering well.
