I'm a sucker for movies that play around with narrative and the order in which information is revealed - Some of my favorite movies from the last year were Exhibiting Forgiveness, Strange Darlings, and Longlegs, all of which contain this nonlinear storytelling to different extents. I thought that the structure worked to this film's benefit! I enjoy slowly getting fed more tidbits and being able to piece certain things together moments before they happen! Sue me! I also thought this had a great balance between the objectively scary bits (of which there are several), the not-scary-but-still-kinda-creepy bits (of which there are many), and the pretty funny bits (of which there are a few).
