yorgos lanthimos i have a parasocial relationship with you we are best friends in my mind. seriously though this is the most excited and affirmed i’ve felt watching a movie in a longgg time. so interesting and thoughtful and gorgeous and fun!!! everyone seems to be having such a good time with it and god lanthimos’ movies are always characteristically recognisable but he never repeats himself. this is a story that could only be told in this way. oddly fairy tale-esque. i really wish i could watch it for the first time again but i can’t wait to watch it a second and third and fourth time. bella baxter is a character for the ages
