Mirror
What would happen if a movie was completely abstracted from plot ? The mirror would happen.
The direction for this movie, or this collage of memories, is unbelievable, with many shots, many frames, that are simply breathtaking. The music is also genius and contributes to the creation of a very special and unique atmosphere of depression.
However, despite the brilliant direction, there were some stretched out moments in my opinion.
Tarkovsky was the only guy that could create an emotional moment of a kid turning pages of a book.
NB : I think a singular shot of wind blowing from Tarkovsky would be enough to leave me in awe.
