A very interesting short that represents the endless chasm that is gluttony and in general consommation. Indeed, no matter how deep they fall, the clients keep on consuming, and that even more and more aggressively over time. They are definitely some great ideas of cinematography such as making the movie start and end on the butler’s eye, suggesting therefore an endless cycle. I find also the violent approach to consuming very interesting with the excessively loud chewing sounds and even competitiveness between the different consumers. All in all I find it a really interesting short, in which Denis Villeneuve, who probably identifies as the butler, depicts the extra capitalism of our society.
