Predator

As great and beloved, Predator, is. I still feel like it doesn’t get enough credit.  It ended the insanity that was the invincible action hero era, or at least placed a dent in it. It elevated the slasher genre to new heights in ways where the fodder can be more than mindless teens or this case “movie characters” It does a great job establishing how powerful and strong-willed the cast is, which makes the kills and hunt of The Predator more imposing and compelling. Plus, The Predator is downright one of the coolest movie villains ever created. Predator is such a fun and creative genre bender that took plenty of used tools from other similar fields in the industry. Despite that, it’s still one of/if not the absolute best blend of action and horror colliding. My love for this film is unstoppable, much like the will of The Predator and the quotes that transcended from the movie itself.
