A wonderfully funny and heartfelt adventure about acceptance and finding love in others and oneself. Never judge a book by its cover. The whole opening establishes that with Shrek reading the storybook. I love the meta approach, the uncanny valley in the animation, the soundtrack which somehow manages to fit like a glove. Plus, its funny as shit and rides that line between what's acceptable for the whole family. Shrek is special, and I kinda find it to be revolutionary since its become such an identity to a ton of people.
