Almost Famous
Almost Famous is definitely going to be one of those films you keep going back to because it brings so much positivity and comfort. I loved this film, it was so so much fun from start to finish. Cameron Crowe has crafted such a wonderful story that I’ve never seen before, a young man learning about the world in a very fast way, learning about friendship, relationships and the harsh realities of life, while also living his best life on the road despite being so young.
I thought the writing was really excellent, some of the best in cinema. You would sit there and be engaged in a conversation, then you would laugh out loud due to witty comments, or you would find quotes being extremely profound. “If you ever get lonely, just go to the record store and visit your friends” is a quote that keeps coming back to me. The style of the film was almost indie movie like while being very professional and beautiful looking. Everyone in this acted with so much emotion, so much love and so much fun. Kate Hudson of course was super fun in this, and the rest of the band like Jason Lee and Noah Taylor all bringing there fun quirks. The main standout for me though was Billy Cudrup, he was perfect in this role, he looked so cool, acted so cool while also learning as the film goes on too, loved him in this. Patrick Fugit did decently for such a young actor in this film too.
Such a fantastic feel good film that if you have time to watch id recommend.
