Warfare

This guy knows how to make a war movie.  Yet again Alex Garland absolutely kills it with the sound design, cinematography, production design and makeup. I think I prefer this one to last year’s Civil War only because I like the story more. I like that he used the soldier’s memories to tell this one, and by that he was able to do it in a way that feels accurate and not like war propaganda. I love how this movie shows the brotherhood these platoon’s have which is vital in situations like this. Knowing that your entire platoon has your back no matter what is happening would give you some comfort in a situation like that.  Overall a great watch, ESPECIALLY in the IMAX. No other or better way to watch a movie and especially a movie like this and Alex Garland really utilizes the things that make it so great to watch a movie there.
