Titanic
i’m giving titanic a straight 5/5. It’s 2025, and after seeing every modern blockbuster try to use cgi to fake emotion, rewatching james cameron’s masterpiece just proves the man is the final boss of cinema. it’s the ultimate flex—simultaneously the most epic disaster movie ever made and a romance that actually has balls.
leonardo dicaprio and kate winslet are absolute peak here. leo as jack dawson is the literal blueprint for 'main character energy'—the hair, the sketchbook, and the 'king of the world' vibe is just unmatched. and kate winslet as rose? she brings this rebellious, high-intensity energy that makes the whole 'forbidden love' thing feel 100% real. their chemistry is the only reason the first two hours of setup works so well.
the production value is a massive visual flex. cameron literally built a 90% scale model of the ship and then sank it for real, and you can feel that weight in every shot. the final hour is a total adrenaline rush—the ship breaking in half, the freezing water, and the chaos on the decks look insane in the 2025 4k remaster.
the soundtrack by james horner is 10/10 vibes. even if you’ve heard 'my heart will go on' a million times, the way it’s woven into the orchestral score during the sinking is pure emotional manipulation in the best way possible.
overall, it’s a flawless, high-intensity, and visually stunning ride. it’s a movie that actually has the scale and heart to back up the hype. if you think you're 'too cool' for titanic in 2025, you're just trippin'. 10/10 modern classic
