Monkey Man

Enjoyable watch overall, Dev Patel was great and even more impressive considering it’s also his directorial debut. The action sequences are fun, fast paced and pretty gory. Didn’t understand all the cultural references or Hindu symbolism but reading up on it gave me enough reference for the film. The action and the political messaging do feel a bit opposing at times.
