The Beach

First time watching after reading the book. Still amazing but so much is missed out which sucks. (So much less dark!) Every time I see this film it makes me jealous of my parents and everyone else who got to experience being a backpacker in south east Asia in the 2000s trying to have a unique experience by going off the beaten path. The film portrays this in such a beautiful yet unsettling way as a warning about human nature and the destruction of paradise.
