Django Unchained
This movie was truly excellent - I mean top four level, for me - until Tarantino had to be gutsy and put one of his shitty blood sequences while killing off a great player in Christoph Waltz. The bond between him and Django formed in the first part of the film is truly special and I love the general aim of the plot. The way that Tarantino explores race and slavery is very masterful and I think there are literally thousands of takeaways from this film on the matter. Tarantino may be an awful human, which inspires his shit action scenes — but godamn he can write drama.
