Maid
"Before they bite, they bark. Before they hit you, they hit near you."
"The motherfucker tried to strangle me. You think on our first date, he was all like 'Pass the salt, one day I'm gonna strangle you girl.' No, it grows, like mold."

This was great. I loved it. I love how Sean never actually hits Alex. It perfectly shows that like, emotional abuse is just as serious as physical abuse.
I could feel my stomach turn each time a victim got back with their abuser.
Like, those felt so raw and real, and I love that they get a part like that, cause you know, it's not easy to just leave an abusive relationship. Like, it takes a really strong and brave person to just walk away from a toxic relationship for good, especially knowing there were times you were actually happy together and didn't fight all the time.

That one episode, "String Cheese", felt too real. Sean took advantage of Alex being in an emotional and stressful time due to her cleaning jobs, lack of money, and especially her mother who had just been taken to the hospital after going through a manic episode.
Sean saw Alex's vulnerability and need for, like, stability, and he used that.
Sean was such a great manipulator, even I was convinced he was going to change.

Something that really resonates with me is that one part where Danielle drops Alex off the trailer:
-This is where you were living? No wonder you're sweating $37.50.
-This man. How many times does he think I'm gonna listen to his sad ass pity-party?
"Danielle."
-Yeah?
"This trailer wasn’t always this bad. I just... I don’t want you to think this is what I chose for my daughter."
*-I think your daughter is lucky, that’s what I think. She’s got you.
And hey, I know that bitch didn’t cough it up today,
but you should feel good about yourself. You started fighting back, standing up for yourself. Yelling "GO FUCK YOURSELF" in random parking lots.*
"Thanks for getting me off the carpet."

Andie MacDowell was absolutely amazing in this.
She played the part so well that I could lowkey see my lola in her, and they literally have nothing in common. Her mannerisms alone gave off those grandma vibes.
When her character, Paula, was put into the psych ward, she was actually terrifying. In short, Andie MacDowell did a great job and she nailed it.

I absolutely loved Danielle.
She'd definitely be my friend crush, and I'd probably think she's the coolest ever and that she must be fun to be around with, if I saw her in real life. #Justice for Danielle.
