Before Sunrise

[first watched: 18th June 2022] [original rating: ★★★★★] I love this movie - I got the Criterion box set which really improves the viewing experience, this whole trilogy is one of the few titles i believe is worth buying on criterion Linklater is one of my absolute favourite writers and directors - I love that he has been able to craft two very compelling and relatable characters and has kept them well developed and entertaining over the span of three decades, not only that, seeing the behind the scenes featurettes and various interviews really shows the brilliant creative collaboration between Hawke, Delpy and Linklater respectively the fact that an almost entirely dialogue driven plot can be so entertaining is incredible - the story, performances, writing, directing, cinematography, editing; every single aspect of this film is flawless This film is equally heartbreaking as it is endearing - my only complaint is that it went by too quickly the second time around
