Before Sunset

[first watched: 18th June 2022] [original rating: ★★★★★] Love this movie - i love the characters to death, their dynamic is incredible which is in no small part due to Hawke and Delpy’s performances  The writing remains phenomenal - I don’t think any romance film could top even one of the entries in the before trilogy  The criterion box set for this film is perhaps my favourite piece of physical media that I own - the phrase “intellectual conversation” sounds so pretentious when describing a film but the discussions offered in the criterion set are genuinely insightful and interesting  Not only is it a flawless sequel, it’s a flawless movie independently of its source material - just like every entry in the trilogy
