letterboxd please add another slot to favourite movies this is torture **MY** (poorly thought out) **RATING SYSTEM** : **1 star or lower** = hated it **2 stars** = wouldnt watch again, was bad. **2 and a half stars** = slightly poor but not the worst, enjoyed some parts of it but really didnt enjoy others. **3 stars** = decent, mid range. Not bad but not particularly great either. Fine. **3 and a half stars** : above average, not mindblowing but was pretty good and didnt dislike it.** ** **4 stars** = really really enjoyed it. Not one of my absolute favourites but it’s really really great. **4 and a half stars** = near perfect (in terms of what *I *want out of a movie) ** 5 stars **= one of my favourite movies i’ve watched. Stands out to other movies i’ve watched. If any of my reviews contradict this system, it’s because i’m mostly just going off of vibes.

**101/100** If i could give this movie six stars i would. Where to even BEGIN, the cinematography is outSTANDING, the sound design and soundtrack is obviously incredible, and the acting performances genuinely blew me away. Everyone’s performances were unbelievable , the most subtle micro expressions were just as impactful as the louder moments. By the end you feel like you understand every single character’s psychology, with very little actual dialogue used in the movie overall. I’ve never had a film grab and hold my attention captive like this one did, i couldnt even look away for a second. I had heart palpitations for the entire run which was probably not healthy. INCREDIBLE movie, worth all the flashbacks it gave me to my debate career. WATCH THIS MOVIE

More of a religious experience than going to church ever was

**93/100** this movie made me feel and think more than a movie has since i watched Dead Poets Society for the first time. There is so so so many fascinating things to unpack about this movie, and I frankly don’t think I could do them justice. While I do wish that it’s female characters had been explored further/with more depth, as they set up some very interesting characters, I think it adds to the overarching themes of dehumanisation and objectification within the film, and think ultimately it was an intentional choice to portray them this way, and not a sexist oversight like some suggest. It’s messy and uncomfortable and sometimes makes you almost flinch, but that is part of the story it tries to tell and I respect media that can push the boundaries and make the viewer feel these things. It’s an incredible movie and the worldbuilding is like nothing else i’ve watched. And don’t even get me started on the cinematography, GORGEOUS. This film should be studied imo, it has so much thematic depth and excellent character writing (when it comes to the men), and its use of metaphor is incredible. Amazing movie and i truly understand the hype for it, my sole complaint is that by the end I feel the pacing has started to drag a little and probably would’ve been better if the runtime was reduced by a half hour.

**98/100** Okay so I cannot possibly do this movie’s complexity and detail justice, so im gonna leave that to the amazing reviewers here and just offer my less academic thoughts : - Sandra can do no wrong - The husband was a bum - HATE the prosecutor - Someone get that kid a psychologist and a barber - Marge is a BADDIE i lwk was suspicious of her at first but now i love her - Someone get elle woods in here rn - I will never hear PIMP by fifty cent the same way again - The dog deserves an oscar - I need an edit to the room where it happened on my desk by monday Everyone watch this movie its incredible, I know you’re thinking “foreign indie film so pretentious I dont have the patience or brain for that” but its genuine peak like WATCH IT
