Arrival

“Come back to me…” One of the most special films I’ve ever seen. There are very few films have touched my heart and impacted me emotionally in a way this has.  Amy Adams with a performance that plays one way on first watch but plays differently on rewatch, an absolute masterclass.  Knowing and not knowing, embracing pain and seeking joy, finding meaning in fleeting moments. Patient and pensive. This is near perfect science fiction as far as I’m concerned. Memory is a strange thing. “…come back to me.”
