“no doubt about it, last time i seen my brother, last time i seen the sun. and just for a few hours, we was free”This movie just gets better after every rewatch…. trust me i’ve seen it 3 times in 2 days. you notice something new every time. THAT scene… full body chills to this day. so visually unique, soulful, and moving, Sinners hits every mark. so many interesting characters, story telling techniques, and a score that cant be beat. it’s never boring. not to mention the themes of the film. MUSIC AS LIBERATION, RELIGION AS REPRESSION!  bonus points for big girl appreciation (Annie carried the entire movie and looked gorgeous while doing it) and an end of credits scene that actually added to the narrative (i’m almost brought to tears each time i see it) BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR! ARGUE WITH THE WALL!
