Prisoners
A masterpiece that genuinely reinvents and enforces high standards for the neo-noir thriller genre. Masterfully builds suspense in a way I’ve never seen. Every performance, every character, every line of dialogue could be the standout. The clues are hidden so intricately that things never snap into place. The Most important part of this films cinematic experience takes place after an initial viewing. It is immensely well thought out.
I was originally going to give this 4.5 stars but rewatched the scene where Jake gyllenhaal is driving to the hospital and……. 10/10 + whoever did his hair needs a raise tbh
