Labyrinth
Labyrinth is what might be the most important film of all time to me. I have watched it countless times as a child and it most likely is my most watched film of all time, together with Harry Potter 3.
Where do I even begin? The performances are all terrific, Jennifer Connelly was awesome and David Bowie is such a good actor as well. This film is full of amazing and super memorabke characters. It is almost Impossible to have favorites here, as I will always feel like I leave someone out. From Ludo, Sir Didymus, Ambrosius, Hoggle, to Jareth and Sara themselves, they're all just phenomenal. Oh, and I almost forgot about the Worm, I love the Worm. David Bowie truly makes this film feel even more alive with his beautiful soundtrack. God, I love his music. The set pieces are astonishing and honestly, they're one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. This is the kind of art I appreciate the most; hand crafted and full of life and charm. The story also works so well and it is so great seeing Sara travel through that Labyrinth.
I see why some are confused after their First watch, but nothing will ever break the bond I have with this movie. I really can't describe how much joy and comfort I feel when I watch this and it always manages to make me feel a way no other film can. It definitely deserves an eternal spot at my top 4.
