Sinners
Definitely movie of the year so far. Honestly it’s not even really close. I gave Mickey 17 the same score but Sinners is undoubtedly superior. One of the most jaw dropping and gorgeously created films I’ve ever seen in theaters. Such a tight and masterfully done script, with a beautiful thumping score. Everything about this film just puts you right into the atmosphere from the awesome sets and amazing costume designs.
I just love vampire movies and a period piece with two Michael B Jordan’s staring is just impossible to not hit for me. Probably my favorite scene in a film this whole year with the past and present figures showing up in the incredible dance shot. When I inevitably watch this one again and I enjoy it the same I would feel very comfortable bumping it up to a 5. Loved every second of this.
