Prisoners

Prisoners is Denis Villeneuve masterpiece. The chemistry between the actors is so good and it elevates career defining performances from Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal. The cinematography is incredible with so many standout shots that make the film so much more tense and suspenseful. I found myself asking questions to myself for almost every scene in the movie and I think that is what a filmmaker should aspire to do, especially in this specific genre of film. The plot moves so fluidly and it never feels like it takes too much time on one scene or act. The ending was great, it embodied the film and somehow left no questions asked. Overall a normal 4.5/5
