Good Time
I went into this blind, watching it only for Robert Pattinson. After finishing this movie, learning that it was made by the same guys who created Uncut Gems, caused it all to click.
This entire movie is tailored to make you as uncomfortable as humanly possible. The scenes feel so claustrophobic, even in the shots that takes place in open areas. The camera movements almost make you sick, and at certain points of the film, it’s so dark, you can’t even see what’s going on. Yet, this movie is gorgeous. The neon lights, the grain, and the 80’s synthy soundtrack all mix together to make you feel like you’re playing a stressful Cyberpunk Mission.
I’m big fan of movies where the protagonist keeps on digging themselves into worse situations, and this might be THE movie for this trope. I plan to revisit this this in the future, as I think this film will be even better on a rewatch.
Robert Pattinson honestly might be my favorite actor.
