Challengers

Yeah this movie is absolutely EVERYTHING. Luca Guadagnino delivers another banger of a film that’s equal parts intense, equal parts dramatic annd equal parts arousing. While somehow managing to make tennis look like the most erotic sport ever. The chemistry between our three leads? Oozing off the screen. The soundtrack? Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross do not disappoint yet again. Along with some clever shots during the tennis scenes (the sweat dripping on the camera changed something in me I fear) this film just checks every box of what I love about cinema. It’s so exciting and so fresh. This will be one of those films that’ll be stuck in my head and will need to be rewatched to fully soak in just how well crafted it is. And those last 30 minutes had got to one of the most intense things I’ve witnessed.
