That Thing You Do!

In my humble opinion “That Thing You Do!” is the best song ever written for a film. It is played around 11 or 12 times total over the course of the movie and I never once get sick of hearing it. It was written to be a one hit wonder, and it was done so perfectly that it actually became one in real life. It does everything you could ask for from an original song and then some.  This movie is a staple in my life. It is one of my most watched movies of all time. I grew up watching it and will gladly continue to frequently revisit it. It also has maybe my favorite movie scene of all time (when they first hear their song on the radio). I know it’s not perfect, and even I will admit that it gets a little cheesy in its last few scenes. But there is something so special about That Thing You Do! An all time classic for me.
