Arrival
Arrival is definitely one of the most powerful and beautifully told stories I’ve ever watched. Everything about this film works the emotion the character of Louise and the way we experience the story through her perspective is handled so well. The message at the heart of the movie is incredibly that life is still worth embracing even when it comes with pain. Beyond the movies themes, the film is stunning, with beautiful cinematography and amazing nonlinear storytelling. I especially loved how the beginning ultimately becomes the end, completely changing how we see everything that came before. The way the story unfolds is both engaging and emotionally devastating in the best way. This is an easy 10/10 for me, and I would highly encourage anyone who hasn’t seen it to watch it.
