Blade Runner 2049
PEAK. In all honesty 2049 makes the first one so much better in every way. Our characters from the first movie still have such a major impact on this movie even without being present. The twists and turns throughout the story and finding out that Rachael was dead was honestly a bit upsetting. But past that the overall story of this movie is so good and the way it’s told had me constantly questioning and trying to predict what was going to happen next. I loved how everything connects towards the end and how it all unfolds in a way I genuinely did not expect. I was really on the road of thinking K was the kid and Denis does a perfect job of tricking you into believing that. So when K finds out the truth it’s honestly just heartbreaking because you really feel for him. With that this movie has some beautiful shots and colors and the atmosphere of this dystopian futuristic version of LA is amazing. I loved this movie from start to finish and I’m so glad I finally got to watch it.
