[2026](https://boxd.it/SXAVi) This was a bit disappointing. Was really interested in the films premise of a meta remake of ‘Faces of Death’ and it does work in that regard, although it’s a bit preachy and on the nose. The kills are pretty cool, although I found the violence a bit too clinical and would’ve wished for a bit more grimy stuff. All in all, this is a good film, but it falls short of its potential.

[2026](https://boxd.it/SXAVi) | [Cinema 2026](https://boxd.it/SJtTG) While I’m not fully on board, I think ‘Obsession’ deserved the hype and love it’s been receiving for months now. Not to mention the critical reception and financial adventure. The performances in this are beyond incredible. Both lead performances are amazing. They get everything out of the facial expressions of their characters and Navarette in particular is excellent. The film is well written and constructed and uses its story in a way that really adds themes and messages and never loses focus of who really is the victim in this scenario. It looks absolutely gorgeous, with great editing and even greater cinematography and color grading. ‘Obsession’ rightly is one of the hits of the year, although it didn’t blow me away as it did almost everyone else.

[2012](https://boxd.it/4NPAE) | [Jonah Hill](https://boxd.it/elXC8) | [Dave Franco](https://boxd.it/dg6fc) | [Johnny Depp](https://boxd.it/7PBRM) I enjoyed this so much. Was a bit high while watching this and the experience was great. Super funny, although there are problematic aspects to it.

[2025](https://boxd.it/Dr2zo) | [Liam Neeson](https://boxd.it/fBuiY) I honestly think this is better than the original. It’s funnier, obviously less problematic, and on top manages to be a remake that emulates the original in a way that works so well. Liam Neeson is fucking hilarious and Pamela Anderson is too. It’s super funny and I enjoyed the humor so much. Watching this high was great.
