Obsession

2026 | Cinema 2026 While I’m not fully on board, I think ‘Obsession’ deserved the hype and love it’s been receiving for months now. Not to mention the critical reception and financial adventure. The performances in this are beyond incredible. Both lead performances are amazing. They get everything out of the facial expressions of their characters and Navarette in particular is excellent. The film is well written and constructed and uses its story in a way that really adds themes and messages and never loses focus of who really is the victim in this scenario. It looks absolutely gorgeous, with great editing and even greater cinematography and color grading. ‘Obsession’ rightly is one of the hits of the year, although it didn’t blow me away as it did almost everyone else.
