"Honey, doctors are sadists who like to play god and watch people scream"
I don't think there is a movie more loving out there. Love pours from every crevice, every kind. It's beautiful in all its aspects. Knowing when to leave, when to stay. Supportive dad and step-mum who doesn't try to replace her mother but fills the same space. Vanessa still having the baby at the end because she truly was meant to be a mother. No free falling broken hearts to be seen anywhere, just fractured ones held tight in a security blanket. This is real love. This is real life. It's messy, sad and hopeful. Nothing is perfect but it's pretty damn close sometimes.
