“I am obscene to you, but to myself I simply am.” Edit: I’m so happy. Frankenstein won 3 academy awards!! & in my heart Jacob Elordi won best supporting actor bc he deserved it so much 🖤 in honour of the oscars today, i needed to rewatch this beautiful film 🖤 since the moment i first watched Frankenstein (2025) i have been wholeheartedly in love with it & i think about it almost every day. I’ve spoken about this in one of my other reviews but the scene where the creature is feeding berries to a deer is one out of many scenes that sticks with me the most. seeing the creature be so naturally loving & so innocent to something he doesn’t even understand. that scene has stuck with me the moment i first saw it & almost always bring happy tears to my eyes while watching. i don’t think I’ll ever get over this film & how much it means to me. Guillermo del Toro & the cast should be so incredibly proud of this film & their performances because it’s truly one of the most beautiful films i have ever seen 🖤
