Scarface

The tone & pacing are immaculate- there wasn't a single moment where I wasn't having fun with this!!! Gorgeous score, I loved the (what I believe to be? not always super familiar with the correct terms to use) leitmotif that played each time Tony was becoming enraged <3 The music in this is superb, definitely my favorite out of anything I've seen recently. Migraine's making it difficult for me to form thoughts but this is just such a great film, all of the characters felt realistic to me (even our titular Scarface, he's a bit over the top but I've known guys like that, short temper, inflated-ego, all of it.) Not saying this necessarily played into my enjoyment but when I was a kid, my older brother was always referencing this movie and so, some part of me will always associate it with him <3 𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆 does the whole crime boss downfall thing RIGHT, so many of these movies just don't do it in the way that makes you give a shit about these people or their struggles, or they try too hard to glorify the lifestyle. I like how from the beginning you could see he didn't have the right temperament or social etiquette to make it in this business!!!!
