how is this fucking movie not regarded as the best piece of cinema I could write an entire essay on this film. like changed my view on cinema. it's revolutionary. but idk if im ready to vocalize everything im thinking and feeling.  but i'm just gonna do a list - margot robbie literally never fails to impress  - the music. oh my god i wanna eat it - the balance between violence and beauty and storytelling - like the narrative is insane, it's so well put together - the cinematography and lighting. GIRL. 😩 - AND MANNY?!? he gets it. he really fucking gets it. i need to lock in.  - “I always wanted to be part of something bigger, something that lasts, that means something.” nellie's "you don't become a star. you either are one or you ain't" AUGH she breathed so maxine could exist. idc - his passion. all of the characters passion.  - also the random spanish he speaks 💀 boi be fr but lowkey he eats at the same time - but high key, fuck me - deadass - also i was not ready for how grotesque this was but lowkey period - and the baddie lesbian??? oh my god.  - the emotions i felt through the evolution of cinema being shown - the historical aspects - ugh the raw emotions nellie and sidney expressed.  - the death of a star as society moves on. i'm not even ready to talk about this.  - invite me to one of those damn parties too tf - ALSO the kiss. no. no i cant.  - PLUS IT WAS SHOT ON A FILM CAMERA MOSTLY??? HELLO!? AUGH CREAMED - AND how are you gonna make me that's attached to everyone in three hours and then fuck it all - ALSO THEY MADE A FUCKING MOVIE ABOUT THEM NO. AND MANNY WATCHING IT?!?! - THE FUCKING ENDING?? - and the montage at the end of film throughout history.  3.8 average stars. you guys need to start rating better.
