Maaaaaan, shoutout to my dad for introducing me to cinema.
Rewatching this now felt like stepping into a time machine. I had forgotten so much of the story since the first time I watched it was as a kid with my father, but what hit me the most wasn’t the plot it was the memories. The late-night movies, dad letting me stay up just to enjoy the screen with him, the way he’d walk home and surprise me with a handful of movie CDs, the weekly trips to the cinema. For him, it wasn’t just about watching films it was about sharing a piece of his soul, treating me more like his best friend than just his kid. It reminded me how much of his passion he passed down to me, how cinema became our way of bonding.
And somehow, watching it now, I even saw a bit of us in Josh and his best friend’s chemistry.
Longing for those memories, maaan… what a nostalgic trip this was.
