Hamnet
Sometimes the only medium that truly allows you to express yourself completely to expose your vulnerability and your grief without filters is storytelling.
Stories can be shaped by imagination, even by things that never happened, yet they still echo a truth that feels deeply real inside us and there’s something profoundly human about that, the way a fictional narrative can hold emotions we struggle to carry on our own and return them to us with clarity and tenderness, even though I’m not familiar with William Shakespeare or his work, Hamnet created that connection for me It took a grief that belonged to someone else and let me feel it as if it were shared between us, breathing life into emotions I didn’t know how to express, it reminded me that stories aren’t escapes from reality they are often the only way we can fully face it, and in doing so, recognize pieces of ourselves in the sorrow and beauty of others.
