Sonny Boy
I think I've watched a masterpiece unlike any other, and it might be the closest anime to my heart yet. Before I start the review, I want to say that no matter what I or anyone else writes about it, we won't do it justice. This is just my interpretation of a small part of this masterpiece, and I encourage you all to experience it yourselves needless to mention the beautiful, heartfelt soundtrack list that will accompany you throughout your journey. . It's worth mentioning that this anime explores many themes like Optimistic Nihilism, Nietzschean Ideology, Robinson Crusoe, the Theory of Relativity and Co-existence, and the Matrix Timeline. At this point, should it even be called an anime?
Life feels like an endless, futile effort. Is there any meaning in all this pushing forward? Will it really lead somewhere promising? Is the destination even guaranteed? This work tackles deep philosophical, existential, and socio-economic questions with surreal complexities. It analyzes human behavior in different ways—crowded and noisy, yet soothing and calm. It puts you on a fine line where you have one foot in a dystopian world and the other in a utopian world. Some of us see light in every darkness, and we all perceive truth in our own ways.
As humans, we are selfish; we create worlds and fill them with figures we control, ignoring their emotions to satisfy our desires. The same thing is done to us by life itself. We shouldn't give in to the frustrations and difficulties of life but instead seek meaning, find our unique gems, give our existence a purpose, battle our complex reality, navigate those oceans, and move within those dimensions. The important thing is that we searched, nothing more. Even if you don't find anything, there's no harm in chasing a false hope if it makes you happy.
Our principles are independence, integrity, and respect, yet they are hard to understand and practice. We fear death but loathe existence! No matter how much we understand the universe, we can't offer anything to a crying friend except to sit beside them. The experiences you gain as you grow older are handed to you in a package wrapped in blue flames. Every minute was clear but also mysterious. Our lives are just beginning. What lies ahead will take longer, and people don't gain value just by being born. I wish I could make up for the time I wasted, even if the outcome is the same; all I want is to return to the first meeting between myself and me.
