Vertigo
Mann this was good.
For the first half of the film i was kinda lost on a lot of stuff. The whole vertigo thing confused me as it was only mentioned like once and never after that, the whole thing with the guys wife confused me, the "paranormal" things felt out of place and everything was just confusing. But THEN when we got the first suicide scene. Ohhh myy it got so good.
John gets put into a hospital, he wanders around town and he ends up finding a woman who looks just like Madeleine. BOOM it actually is her. But he doesn't know that, only the audience does. John starts going crazy, doing everything in his power to turn the woman he just met into the woman he once knew. Crazy things happen and BOOM john finds out it actually is Madeleine but wait.. she actually isn't Madeleine she's Jude!! She was just pretending to be Madeleine all this time. But she still is the woman John loved. There's just so many insane twists but they all made soo nuch sense, none of them felt out of place.
And the ending bro... John goes even crazier than before and ends up indirectly causing Jude's dead by dragging her into the clock tower. This was just too good...
This is also making me fall in love with Hitchcock films even more than before. Even though this is only the 3rd one I've seen and the second one I've watched with my full attention, i genuinely love his films so much already. The general themes of mental health and insane plot twist have stayed as very prevalent themes through every movie which i loveee. Alfred Hitchcock is just amazing especially for his time but also for this day.
