Bugonia

From the beginning it felt quite obvious that Emma Stone’s character was an alien. Much of the film moves slowly and revolves around the repetitive back-and-forth of ‘you’re an alien’ and ‘no I’m not,’ almost pushing the audience to believe that Jesse Plemons’ character is simply insane. However, the final 30 minutes completely shift the experience and end up being the strongest part of the film. I especially loved the quiet sequence showing the so-called ‘bad’ humans across the world disappearing, and the final song choice felt perfect. So the film truly began and ended with something magnificent!
