Cure
this movie creeped me out in the best way possible, it’s not really scary in a loud jumpscare type of way but more like a slow burn that messes with your head, the atmosphere is heavy from the start and it just keeps getting more unsettling, it felt like i was being hypnotized along with the characters.
i really liked how quiet everything was, the long pauses and minimal dialogue made everything feel so tense, the mystery keeps you guessing the whole time and even by the end it doesn’t give you all the answers, which somehow made it even better, it lingers in your mind and you keep thinking about it after it ends.
the performances were solid especially from the guy playing the killer, he was weird in a way that was so believable and off-putting, i also loved the way it was shot, so many empty spaces and static shots that added to the unease, it’s a movie that takes its time and if you’re into the slow psychological horror vibe it’s really good.
