Nobody Knows
very heartbreaking, from start to finish it just felt so real, no dramatic music, no exaggerated moments, just pure quiet sadness, the way it was filmed almost felt like a documentary, which made everything hit even harder. it just unfolded naturally, and that’s what made it so devastating.
the kids did an amazing job, especially the one playing akira, you could see the weight of everything on his face, the way he tried to hold everything together while still being just a kid was devastating, their mother was a bitch, just selfish and careless in a way that sadly happens in real life. but their bond was beautiful, even in the worst moments, they still had each other.
it’s a slow movie, but that’s what makes it so effective, every little moment builds up to something heavier, and by the end, it just leaves you feeling empty, really beautiful but so sad.
