It Ends
Just so you know this is exactly how it feels to live in flagstaff.
This would’ve been an amazing short film, I don’t see why it had to be a feature.
Beautiful cinematography and the intense moments hit! Some fun comedy in there, and interesting characterization. But after the first 30 minutes it lost me. I mean really not a lot happened.
A good metaphor for life does not mean a good movie. Once again, the cinematography perfectly matches the intentions in each scene, but did every scene need to happen? No. The entire movie didn’t need to be in the car. While I understand there wasn't escalation to give the impression of the endlessness, that doesn’t mean there couldn’t have been an escalation of tension between the group, or despair, or hopelessness.
Still a 4/10 because I enjoyed many parts and can still see the team behind the project did great. Only wish the writing went in a different direction.
