Collateral

Go scene by scene and tell me this isn't one of the best movies you've ever watched. The subtext in this film is so incredibly moving. The jazz club scene, the train scene, the coyote scene, hell any of the scenes that take place in that cab. Mann feeds you these little bits of soul in every conversation, and every little meaningless remark is wholly significant. Everything matters until everything is revealed. The needle drops in this film are great and the cinematography is magnificent. Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise play off each other perfectly. It all works all the time. What a movie.
