Phantom Thread
You can tell how meticulously crafted this film is in each scene. It's warm. It's elegant. Slightly haunting but I don't mind. It's so gentle even when the actions taken don't seem to be. It feels like we're dropped into a story that's been building for a thousand years. Like they've lived for a lifetime before us and will live for a lifetime after. The glances, the pauses, the sighs and grunts. The little messages in between the words, never hesitant, never blurred.
It's so delicate and stunning. Daniel Day Lewis is such a beautiful actor.
I had been told by some people that this movie is "boring," and to them I say,
"Just fuck off back where you came from."
